Description of Vegetation Communities Biodiversity in this area can be characterized according to the vegetation levels, which contain distinct series of vegetation with their accompanying plant communities and groupings of plants. In Bsharri, one can notice the following 3 levels: The Supramediterranean, the Mediterranean mountains and the Oromediterranean.
In Bcharre, this series is widespread covering many slopes in the lower elevations (1000-1500m). In general, the Qadisha Valley is covered mainly by a community of Quercus calliprinos. The species that accompany the calliprinos mostly are Pistacia palaestinia, Arbutus andrachne, Cercis siliquastrum, and Ramnus sp. Locations and description of some Q. calliprinos forests include
DELIVERING THE EXPERIENCE
The valley is well developed in terms of karstification. The existence of fracturing systems within the carbonate rocks has produced a spectrum of karstic conduits along the weak surfaces. However, surface karstic features are well observed in the valley such as holes, pits, cavities, galleries, and natural bridges.

- Qadisha is characterized by a high degree of endemism.
- Recorded data of flora in the Qadisha Valley: 912 species (32 % of Lebanese flora), 163 subspecies (5.6 %), and 118 varieties (4%)

a substantial trip starting at the city of Becharry, through Berkacha old streets and the Ayn Malek stream that delivers the freshest sweet water from the highest water sources in the area, passing by the rose of the mountain ( Hasroun village) and grabbing a traditional Lebanese coffee from the famous Laba Tawil chanting ‘’ ya ahla w sahla’’, to a higher view of the summer patriarchic seat at Diman, ending at Hadad’s famous Claude with a delicious zaatar man2ouche at the main st Daniel square.
North-Eastern JourneyStart in Bsharri & end in Ehden
Starting from the main station at Becharry, passing in hadchit (HADACH) that means the new moon and through Blawza’s serpent roads arriving to ban for a coffee break at Mar Geryes main square, passing through Kfarzghab to the traditional Arabic sweets shop ending at the historical Mar Sarkis monastery (Ehden).

We will begin at the main station on the highway, to the famous Mary Haskell square and the Gibran Khalil Gibran museum through Mar Saba square and the Mar Saba cathedral arriving at our coffee break at cafe trottoir: a coffee shop owned by an immigrant(Toni Rahme) from Becharry that left to Australia to escape poverty but couldn’t escape Becharry’s magic arriving at the fossil museum and our lady church, then we will continue through al Dahra street and the Gibran street to end at the amazing view at Mar Geryes public garden.Gearing up (icon of Map as the link above showing)
